Light is a natural phenomenon that radiates throughout our environment. When travelling at the speed of light, time appears to slow down. Light comes in various colours and can reflect itself. We understand that light bounces off surfaces and reaches our eyes, allowing us to see things in shades of black and white. But what exactly is light?
These three black-and-white images illustrate how light reflects and bounces off a simple whiteboard positioned between the subject and the camera. I utilised reflective lights to highlight the rich tonal qualities and softness of each image. While the black shadows may appear sharp, the whites reveal incredible detail, creating a balanced overall colour in black and white.
